 Actually, six wheel ATV (all terrain vehicles) that are not only amphibious, they are intended for use on everything from water to loose sand to regular dirt to forest to steep hillside to some mountain terrain are fairly common in the USA, and I have seen them at yard sales and garage sales.? The six hundred pound units are usually for sale because that's only two people plus a week's worth of food and gear-- and he wanted one for four plus a week's gear and supplies.

They are not as common in the UK, but if you set up a search on eBay I know over a dozen were sold in the UK last year, mostly in Wales and Scotland.
