I just re-read your post, and you did mention going back out to film
near the top...
You should definitely get quotes NOW on what it is going to cost to
strike your final print. You may be uncomfortably surprised by the
number. You're typically looking in the several-hundred-dollars per
minute range. I had a quote of just under $2k for a 4-minute short 2
years back.. obviously prices become more favorable, the longer the film
is... I'm sure $8-10k would do half an hour.
