Ditto that: as far as I can see, you only save money on stock and 
processing.  If you're buying new stock, it could be significant, but if 
you're a bottom-feeder like many of us, the saving isn't such a big 
deal.  I'd be suspicious of a transfer house that charged per foot--I'd 
rather think that my transfer was being handled with a bit more creative 
attention than that.  A mediocre colorist can do a lot of harm.
