150ft? Is there a 0 missing there somewhere? This is something a little over 1 minute of footage! Maybe 2!

This could be a problem. Most telecine places I have come across have a half hour minimum charge.

In addition my local lab also has a minimum charge on development which comes to something like a 400ft roll. Are you planning to make a tiny, tiny short and to edit in camera perhaps?

Well for starters with HD you don't make a print at all so that is a massive cost saving. Also even 2k DI is usually done on specialised and expensive scanners instead of the normal telecine machines, tho there are now a few telecine machines capable of 2k resolution. There are of course 4k and 8k DI's which are super super expensive. Theres a massive saving by not making a print at all tho.

This is a big advantage of 4 perf or Anamorphic as both of them are projectable formats and you can make a contact print of the film avoiding a film out. This saves a massive amount of money compared to a DI when making a print.

eeeek! A night time script is a bit scary for your first time out. I can see now why 16mm might not be a great option either. I guess you want super speeds and a really amazing focus puller!

That's a little scary. Is it all night exteriors too?

Maybe you should come up with a simpler script and save this one for down the line when you have everything worked out more.

love
