A camera technician I know bought one of these 6 months ago from another  
Ebayer and had problems connecting his PL lenses to it.  I supplied him  with the 
PL adapters so was concerned why they did not fit properly. The ones he  
bought had the wrong tolerences so the lenses became very tight and  were 
extremely difficult to remove once locked in. He had to take them  apart and 
re-machine them for the PL mounts to fit correctly.
 
It is possible this 'maybe' one of the batch of poorly made mounts that  
seemed to end up on the market.
Ask the seller to connect a PL lense and for him to send you a photo.  
Although this would not indicate that it is a tight fit, it may remind the  seller 
that you are aware that a batch of these mounts were going around instead  of 
being scrapped!  He did say that it has not been used, ask him  why?
 
Hopefully this one will be ok.
