That Nikon is cool. 5 minute chunks could get you through a shoot
maybe. Can't imagine what small unbalanced connector I'd have to use
for audio and if I can monitor video on something larger though.
At 4k record, I don't think Red will have to worry about the Nikon,
although a $1000 Nikon outfit goes a long way against Red's total cost.
You can probably edit the Nikon material right away too.
Regarding Lomo prices and HW's post, I agree that the Lomos are
defintely worth $500 each. The DOF adapters are really affecting the
Lomo prices, but also I think that Red has had an impact as well (and
especially any Lomo anamorphics). I see all over the Red forums where
people are looking at Lomos. Doug Underdahl at Long Valley makes a Lomo
mount for the Red too. I think he's sold at least 7 last I talked with
him in early July.
And on the Leica Ms, I have used PLed Leica's before and they are
absolutely beautiful.

Subject: [Konvas] OT but cool
Hey, have you guys heard about Nikon's D90 digital SLR that now has a
"movie
mode" where in it shoots 24p for 5 minute chunks at 1280 x 720.
Not bad to have a camera with interchangeable Nikon lenses for under
$1000
US. Watch out RED.
