[Konvas] another lens question

I'm not an animation guy-- the closest I came was years ago, a physical title I shot that took weeks, and it was on film.? My foray into the digital with cine lenses was to create a capture system for a quite different purpose, and I spent far too much money, got little or no help from the camera people, and am "on hold."

The problem with Corpse Bride was "they way they saw it" at what stage, the choice of stocks they started on and where they intended to end up.

The only way to find out how it will work is to try it, and not just for a fifteen second or one minute burst.

I know I saw the tests for an intercut of a Genesis and film capture, and the Genesis was all interior, a starship main bridge battle scene with smoke, flashes, and a moving stage, the film was the exteriors on the planets and on non combat starships.? The cut back and forth from the ground combat troops to the starship bridge worked perfectly-- and there was no way you could confuse them, either in location or the way they looked.? Attempts to shoot and cut in some Genesis ground B footage was unusable, and what looked great on the bridge looked lousy on flim, too.

With that sole exception no one I have talked to even knows anyone who was happy intercutting digital and film.

H.W.,?

Have you shot any timelapse or animation type stuff with a LOMO, Zeiss?

or other Cine lens on a DSLR (not a video camera or a digital still in?

video mode) as compared to still lenses??
?

While I'm at it, how big is the noticeable difference between the
various MoPic film stocks and the digital chips, especially when Cine
lenses are used? Can they even cut together??
?

I read an article a while back about the stop-motion film, "Corpse
Bride". They decided to use the Canon over the Mitchell because they
said the Mitchell looked almost out of focus in comparison to the 1D
image - I believe they used all Nikon lenses, but not sure if they used
the same lenses on the Mitchell.?
?

Speaking of which - I'm in the market for a new DSLR and am eyeing up
the Pentax K200D. Anyone used this camera??
?

Cheers,?
