[Konvas] another lens question

Ah, but did you do it for NTSC or for 1920x1080/30p ISC-HD-2 for international distribution?

If you chop it all down to NTSC and then transfer to 1920/60i or 1280/30p you get a "lower quality" but uniform product-- but the standards for ISC-HD-2 mean that you can see the difference in the next generation of masters, and the transfer to Blu-Ray is problematic.

Unless you're a manufacturer or equipment junkie you aren't going to be prepared for the Jan 2010 and June 2010 updates.? Heck, they even decided it should be wide then tall, not tall then wide, and that a 30p master was the only way to make a good stepdown to 60i and 30p and a dozen leftover methods and systems.

Chortle.

Buy stock in Rolaids-- they are going to sell to local stations--? in case lots.

Exactly.? That's why I?was able to intercut digital and film with
success... because I know I am never going to be the weak link in the "viewing
chain."?? With very very VERY rare exceptions, our monitors are going
to be vastly superior to the sets people at home are viewing our productions
on.? And the cable system or broadcast signal is?never going to be
able to hold?a candle to the direct HD-SDI monitoring that we go by in the
edit suites.? Ergo, if?I am able to intercut the footage and not be
able to see the difference in studio, my mom watching on her TV at home
certainly isn't.

?

As I said, I might not do it for a feature film, but have done it for TV
with no trouble.
