Speaking of which, I had two newbie producers come over the other day. 
They wanted to discuss an indie feature they were producing (btw: they 
managed to find my demo reel online and really liked it).

I started asking them a few questions about the project - what it was, 
locations, film or video, etc. As it turns out, the entire movie will be 
shot outside (read: all exteriors). Early on they had completely thrown 
out the idea of shooting film, since they heard it was "way too 
expensive". They also explained that they heard that video was extremely 
cheap...

After I explained the costs of things like camera rentals (both video 
and film cameras), post-production issues (again with both film and 
video footage), etc., they became quite interested in shooting film...

I guess we'll see where this goes...
