Ole,
A few quick questions:
1) Is it the older style Konvas-1 (has a round motor holder on the motor
side) or the newer style Konvas-1M? And if it's a Konvas-1, does it have
a top-latch or side-latch release for the magazine?
2) Does this happen with every magazine, every time you shoot? Just the
first magazine of shooting, or just often?
3) Are you using more than one 200' magazine? Have to ask, that way we
can hopefully rule out the magazines.
4) When was the last time the mags and camera were lubricated? If the
camera and/or mags have hardened grease and are gummy, your motor may be
working twice as hard and thusly overheating.
5) Have you tried inching the film through (by thumb via the motor) once
this happens? If it can inch through, it may be related to the motor.
6) Do you have any connection issues between your motor and the
batteries? A loose wire can drive you crazy.
7) Where did you get your film from?
8) Have you processed any of the footage yet to see if what you've shot
so far looks okay?
