Olivier,

That is beautiful footage no doubt. Before anyone gets too excited, though, and runs out to buy a DSLR, please understand that you will be limited in the pans and camera movement that you can accomplish with this technology.

You will notice that the best shots are locked off. Any pans start to suffer from a wobbliness. I see it especially in the Empire State building shot. I see other artifacts in the car in the tunnel shot.

These issues have been covered greatly on other forums. Especially the CML_future_cameras one.

Notwithstanding, it is definitely a new dawn for the independent filmmaker. Lots more is coming.
Just shot an Aflac spot with my Red on Monday and Tuesday with my Lomos. Client said they will never go back. They were checking composites on the set with their laptops. Gonna be lots of compositing for this spot and the post FX guys were everywhere. End of Tuesday, all of them were smiling and knowing that they were gonna be able to enjoy Thanksgiving after all.

All the best guys and gal (Rita),

Lael
