Aaah, the Arritechno.
I have three of them, and 12 mags. (One of those "projects" that never seem
to get off the ground.) There've been a few of these on eBay, with wildly
enthusiastic prices attached. I got mine in glorious condition for about
$300 each. Mags were another $50 per.
Use essentially the same movement as the Arri 35BL3 (?) maybe BL2. For
sure, it's dual-pin registered. Mags look like a 2C mag, with a big
rectangular block added to the throat that contains the pressure plate
assembly. NOT the same mag as a 2c.
SAFIK, two models were available: one rated to 90fps, one rated to 150fps.
Both of mine came with 90mm (yes, 90mm! It says so, right on the barrel.)
1.8 Zeiss lenses. As they were used in the relatively pristine environment
of a hospital, the glass is utterly flawless, and the front elements are
HUGE.
Haven't deciphered the fairly massive motor yet. It connects to its
controller via a biiiig MULTIpin connector, which allowed very elaborate
slaving of any number of cameras. You could slave them so all the shutters
were open at the same time, or one shutter was open while the other was
closed (so you didn't miss anything on very rapid events). The gate also
contains several LED clusters for imprinting timing data onto the edge of
the film during exposure.
I've spoken with an excellent friend at Arri Canada, who contacted the
parent office, and no one seems to be able to come up with motor specs,
pinouts, or like that. If anyone in Konvasland has any info on these NEAT
machines (HW??? I'm counting on you....no stress, you understand....) I'd
be powerful grateful for any leads. Thanques vast, in advance!
Best to all,

Actually a dedicated x-ray fluoroscope camera, the lens and nameplate
location give it away. It was set up on the other side of the safety glass
to film the fluoroscope as the subject "did something" so the in progress
inside functions could be documented.
