The Techniscope conversion for my Cinema Products XR-35, which is
largely based upon the Mitchell NC/BNC and therefore uses the same
internal components, includes:

1) 2-perf aperture plate, fitted to your 4-perf NC/BNC movement,

2) movement cam which causes 2-perfs per cycle,

3) replacement shaft (which is the main shaft of the camera) which
has provision for a "double start" worm (this accomplishes a 2:1 step-
down in main sprocket rate),

4) a "double start" worm gear for the main sprocket shaft, and

5) a replacement ground glass for the reflex viewer.

These three properties are part of any Techniscope conversion:

1) the shutter shaft still turns at 1440 rpm for 24 fps shooting,

2) the pull-down claws move one-half their normal distance, but the
registration pins remain the same (not an easy feat, but much easier
in a non-registering movement), and

3) the main sprocket or sprockets revolve at one-half their normal
rate, and

4) so also does the take-up clutch.

Essentially a T2 Cameflex mag has 2:1 gearing built-in, a capability
not needed in the Mitchell.
