[Konvas] eBay ripoffs

When I was running the store WAMU set up a separate account with immediate clearing "upon confirmation" of any funds received--? If I needed to send money I transfered it from the store account into that one, sent it, and kept a one dollar balance in the account.? The account was free, and the nightmares they told me were interesting.

Same here on Spain.? I had a Spain buyer recently that was really
pushy and wanted to pay me by wire for something only worth $25.? I am only
hearing this from my banker, but he says that?giving someone wire deposit
information can be giving them a key to your bank account (I really had no
idea).? He syas that people that wire alot use separate accounts
that?only receive wires.? If you are having money wired to you, set up
an account that is empty of all funds and only taking the incoming wires. Once
the money comes in, move it immediately to a safe account.? First I thought
this was a gimmick on the bank's behalf to entice me to have multiple
accounts,?but I have since heard confirmations that this is true.?

I'm no banking expert, and welcome any thoughts / corrections?on
this.

Watch out for ANYBODY out of
Spain.

I was only willing to use PayPal for the bronze head, and shipping
cost was about the same as the head-- the seller tried to convince me to send it
western union and even offered me a discount, I refused and held out for paypal
since I had not dealt with him before.? Then seven weeks later I get an
eBay warning that the account had been compromised and that if I had sent a
check or used western union I was up the creek.? They can get away with
almost anything in Spain, the UK is getting that way.? They set up shop,
take the money, close the bank accounts and bug out in the UK, in Spain they
just stay there and keep doing it to people.

You're not the only
one who's gotten ripped off. I lost a chunk of change for some?S16 gear.
Also, watch out for a guy that goes by the name of Jack Carmical working out of
Spain.?
