Addendum:  as to freezing exposed stock, I was assuming (yeah, RIGHT) the
rest of the world enjoys (?) the same climate I do, where the relative
humidity is typically 20-50%.  Meaning it's a "dry" whatever, and I never
think to think about the perils of excess moisture.

Therefore and ergo, if you do live in a climate where it's typically over
60% relative humidity, popping the SEALED cans in a cold part of the fridge
wold be the way to go.

Either something IS exact, or it ISN'T.

I'd think "almost exactly" would be kind of like being "a bit pregnant."
