I know Harvey Gold did a number of recordings for Showtime Networks (Canada) and was not sure if he did Showtime Productions (US).

I really appreciate you guys checking... but no, Harvey Gold is unforunately not the guy I'm looking for.? The narrator I'm trying to track down is heard in this promo, and he does all of Showtime's stuff...

Oh Rita Rita Rita... I must so heartily disagree.? True voiceover acting is such an art,? even with that Newmann the average cheap/free actor can't do it and do it really really WELL.? That's why a handful of the best guys make almost ALL the money doing it...and the trend is so much more toward voice guys who can ACT rather than ANNOUNCE.?

I just did a voice session this morning with the great Peter Thomas (Nova, American Airlines, Forensic Files, and scads of other stuff) and it's always amazing to work with those real pros because they are just so darn good.

One of my sadnesses is that I never got to work with Hal Riney, who died earlier this year... Hal was so great...

...and Hal wrote and produced that too... a very talented fellow.?

Others of my favorite voices right now are Ashton Smith, Rino Romano, Hal Douglas, Stew Herrera... and Townsend Coleman for higher-register stuff.?? I also really REALLY wanna use Ed Grover someday ("Visa... it's everywhere you want to be") but I haven't had a client yet that he would be perfect for who could also afford him.
