Rita,
That's funny that you say this, since the BBC and Discovery channel got
together and made the series "Planet Earth". It came out last year and
was breathtaking in just about every way.
In the US, we had the voice of Sigourney Weaver which, I have to say, is
extremely enchanting. While in the UK, it was David Attenborough - not
what I'd consider enchanting, but definitely entertaining.
If you're not familiar with Sigourney Weaver's voice, you can take a
look/listen here:

For David Attenborough, you can listen to it here:

This past spring, I used an actor and film maker friend, with an
extremely powerful voice, for a 13 minute project. Besides acting, he is
currently testing the waters of being a part-time VO artist (he's been
taking VO classes and such). What's really nice is that he also speaks
Spanish and we did a 2nd version of the project in Spanish, which also
worked out well.
His voice is powerful, but not overwhelming. Not sure how to explain
that one, but if you want to take a listen, you can watch part of a clip
here, which is on processing wood shavings for animal bedding:

It may take a minute to load before the QuickTime file appears, but I've
had a lot of people comment about how much they like his voice. How
about you all? Like? Dislike? All feedback is good...
Cheers,
