So solid steel is the way to go then?
Just a real quick double-checking question here:
Are you saying 100mm on the center of the Optical Axis or 100mm between
rod centers? Just checking. It's offset by 17.25mm to the right, correct?
If the 100mm measurement is to the center of the rods, then the center
of the right rod to the center of the optical axis is 67.25mm and from
the center of the left rod to the center of the optical axis is 32.75mm,
correct (when looking from the back of the camera)?

I agree. They may be okay to hold a mattebox and lens filters, but for
holding the heavier Cine lenses and a follow focus unit, etc., I'd
rather have something worthwhile. I'll be selling my 60mm centered rods,
they just don't work well for professional use...
