Lael,

 Thanks for that--I had given up on Mike.  Figured he'd packed it in and 
was doing something else for a living.

To answer your question, there's a large range of medium format lenses 
made for Soviet cameras, and it's as good as the cinematic Lomos.  I'm 
not aware of any zooms available, but some of the primes are very nice 
indeed.  And can be had very cheaply.
