[Konvas] lighting pars vs. fresnels (off topic)

Further to the PAR discussion: Rummaging around the Altman site I see 
that Ronnie has died and his son has taken over the business and that 
they've begun to make LED PARs.  Maybe that's a better solution than a 
tungsten lamp.  It's 100 watts but I don't see specs on 
footcandles/lumens so it's hard to assess how useful one of them would 
be.  Still, LEDs are the future....anybody tried shooting with them?  
Are there any sync/flicker problems?
