[Konvas] lab accident

Thank you, Rita, for your encouragement and your helpful words referring to
the images of my daughter.

The lens was the 6mm lens for the Kinor 16 sx. There is no focussing ring on
it –I don´t have to touch it while shooting. But I made the same experiences
(changing the iris by turning the focussing ring) with my other short Kinor
16 primes I have (10mm, 20mm, 25mm, 35 mm)

Best regards,

Ole

Ole,

I cannot understand how your lab got it wrong, after all Fuji and film type
was stamped on the leader.

It should be ok but you may have to fiddle with the contrast in post. The
Lab was wrong so ask for a refund or free telecine. I am not sure if Fuji
and Kodak share the same processing pack but as the Fuji was out of date
then it may have issues anyway.

Ref your daughters B/W images. Did you use a KMZ 10mm lens as I also had
issues some time back. These lenses need a lot of light and also the
focusing ring is too close to the F stops so sometimes as you focus you can
change the iris accidentally which happened to me many times until I had the
grub screw tightented up to make more stiff. There was a lot of back light
which is not good for the 10mm. I know it had a lot of grain but did I
detect some 'veiling' although you said it was new stock from Kodak.

Personally, I would film your daughter on her own without people passing by
which only distracts the eye.

Can you not include her as a series of still shots run in succession or
perhaps a montage of sequences to suggest movement.

If you put film in a camera, then you are a serious film maker and can only
get better.

best regards Rita
