I buy a Miller in the 70's for my auricon a fluid head and good for a 60
pounds camera.
At that time if i remember i pay 1,200 for it's.I buy it new at that time is
very hard to find used tripod and used light specialy in Canada at the same
time i buy a Mole light kit 2 x 2k and 2 1k and i still using it.
It's a fluid head with a proJr this mount look like the Mitchel.
For the Konvas it's great but when i put the 500 mm lens on it i am very
close to the limit...
but still good for it...the Konvas it's a 20 pound camera the lens is not
heavy but long.
I rebuilding a B&H 2709 i just find 3 spring belt for the 400 ft mag for 35$
bran new.
This camera will be used for TL and the 60 pounds head is not big a off for
this.
The other way for studio work with a HD camera it's not to bad the Miller
tripod but a bit big for this work. And for the HD in field work is relay to
big.
Miller got smaller model.
For traveling i suggest you to have a shoulder pod, a mono pod and a small
tripod with a fluid head some 16mm tripod have all this. And buy a tripod you
could put easily in part to get in the your luggage.
Best Pierre Sam
