Yes, and not all bowls are the same either. I've got an O'Connor 100 with two different 150mm bowl bases- one works with my Sachtler 150mm bowl legs, one does not (wrong taper on the bowl).
 
Interestingly, I have a couple of 100mm bowl O'Connor 50 heads that have a notch about a third of the way up the bowl. It turns out the notch fits perfectly into a Mitchell Jr flat base top.
