Very correct... I should have thought to mention that.
Many of the Oconnor bigger/older heads actually have a flat place on the bottom of the bowl (i.e., the bowl is not completely round all the way).? Those can also be easily placed on a flat-top mount.? I have used them on both my high-high and my crab dolly (which both have Mitchell tops), mounted them right through a hole in the deck of a skateboard dolly for very low dolly shots, and we have a very tall A-frame ladder that we a have made a flat plate for the top which gives and extra-high vantage point.? Even though they have a bowl bottom you can attach these heads to just about any flat surface that you can drill a hole through.
