No bowing, no scraping, and if the Queen can touch an American woman, be she
First Lady or just a maid off the street, that American can touch her back.
Or her front, or any other part. A good point, and well-made.
It might not sound like much, but it is one of the founding principals [RG's
emphasis] of the country, and it applies overseas just as much as it applies
here.
I was not aware that school board personnel were responsible for framing the
basis of the US Constitution & Working Rules. "Principles," surely. I just
want to make it clear that there's more than one aspiring pedant on
here....possibly a closeted Grammar Nazi.

" Nobody can touch the Queen even her husband! She's a cold fish. "
hmmmmm ..... sounds kind of like that new Afghani law, only going the other
way. Maybe the Afghan women should try this tactic for a while....that, or
read Loreena Bobbit's Lady's Handbook...I understand the chapter on dealing
with recalcitrant husbands is quite illuminating.
Oh. And, harking back to another eMail about the Vision 3 "with extended
dynamic range" appearing "flat," it's pretty much according to definition
that, the greater the dynamic range, the lower the apparent contrast. This
should come as no surprise whatever. And I cast my vote with Prof Stone's
note that high contrast effects (especiallyat the edges of subjects) are
often mistaken as resolution increases. Video has been playing this dubious
shell game for decades. If you want to really know what's sharp and what's
not, get out your MTF gear, and know how it works, and know how to interpret
the results. And always be sure you're comparing apples with apples.
Neglecting that little proviso is another shell game video's been getting
away with for far too long.
Very best to all,
Rick (recently italicized by HRH) Garbutt, soc and Bar
