Sorry HWS but I must say I find Dr Strangelove probably the most entertaining of all Kubrick's films. It is sad you don't like the satire, even if the satire is applied will a shovel. If this film actually impeded peace talks at the time of its release then that reflects that themes proposed by the film were perhaps true in real life at the time. If political leaders feel the teeth marks from a biting satirical FICTIONAL film, then that does speaks volumes...
