Good luck making a film as "stupid" as
  Dr. Strangelove, or almost any other Kubrick film.  If you need more  
proof of his genius other than his films, look no further than the  
fact that he personally preferred German motion picture cameras on set  
-- not Russian!
Note the numerous photos of him at work clutching his beloved  
arriflex...

And yes, I know.. Panavision too.
