Not at all - as I said, I enjoy this class because I get to go as deep
into the technical end of things as I feel like. Of course, I try not to
go TOO deep (although at times, I do rattle something off that I know is
extra heavy stuff, even for a film major - and the look on each face as
I look around the room is priceless).

Since most of them have never seen a 35mm camera rig before, I've
brought in one of my Konvas rigs (kept it small) as a sort of "show and
tell". I think things like that help to sell the idea that a film is
something more than using Grandma's VHS handycam. Especially when I
explain that a 400ft magazine only shoots 4 minutes of film...

Good idea. I'll try to give it a read when I get a chance.
