[Konvas] Kinor 35 Batteries

That sounds good Bruce. I have four motors I would like to convert. Is this something you can do If I were to send you the motors?

Also, do you make a cable to convert the proprietary plug of the Dewalt to 4 pin? I would assume that you do not physically alter the Dewalt battery in lieu of making a custom cable/adaptor.

Also, is the attached pic the correct battery you're talking about?

Best,
Kelley

  Dear Kelly

The quickest solution to the battery issue is to run off to your local hardware store and buy a couple of DEWALT power tool battery packs and a charger. These are 18V which is perfectly OK for the Kinor. I have a few here and I have added a Cannon 4 pin outlet. These batteries are small, light, quick to interchange and charge.

Replacing the Russian receptacle on the Kinor requires a small amount of work. We do this automatically to all Kinors that come through here. For the untrained I believe that there is a 'how to' article somewhere on the Konvas site... I may be wrong though as I have not actually read it.

    Hi Everyone,

Forgive me if this has been covered ad nauseam, but I’ve searched the threads and have only been able to glean bits and snatches of data.

I have two Kinor 35’s and am addressing these battery issues:

Has anyone successfully found or made a compact 16v NiCd rechargeable pack that would resemble a cinema pack—i.e. without using any duct tape or a Night Rider lunch box?

Is there a thread someone could direct me to as to how an XLR modification can be made on the camera for the power source?

    Is it wise to exceed 15.6v (13 x 1.2v) to say possibly 16.8v (14 x 1.2v) ?

Again, sorry if this topic has been beat to death, but I just can’t seem to locate the appropriate threads.

    Best,
    Kelley Cross
