Interesting Douglas doesn't have the red/lomo mount listed on his site. In any event I think I'm going to try and make my own mount. I've been learning how to CNC and it will give me a change to try out some of my new skills. Is there anything unique or particular about the red/oct19 plate that I should know about? For those who have one is there anything tricky about it?
I was going to scrap an OCT19 ring off of an old 2m body I don't use and then basically just mount it to a piece of aluminum with one big hole for the lens to go through and a bunch of screw holes for the OCT19 ring to mount and the piece to attach to the red. Sound like a decent plan? Will some standard grade aluminum be good enough or should I do stainless steel or something, what are random machined camera parts usually made out of?
All the best,
Brad
