Hey Adam, 

Oh I remember now.  What you might have been referring to was Douglas's
Nikon mount.  He designed one and then RED bought his design and sold it
on their site.  With his agreement, he could not sell the Nikon mounts
himself anymore, but he was happy with the deal.
