Coffee here in the states is great if you want quantity. There's nothing 
in writing about it, but I believe American coffee is designed to last 
the average American 15-25 minutes, which is roughly enough to read 
through the newspaper in the morning at breakfast.

And no, we're definitely not European in our tastes, but we can enjoy 
European coffee. But I find that going to Europe and drinking those 
little cups screws me up BIG. I enjoy the strong coffee, but I NEVER 
feel like I have drank enough after just one or even two. Case in point: 
once while in Europe, I drank about 9 or 10 cups in one sitting and had 
such a caffeine jolt that I started to feel sick as hell. They just 
seemed so small...
