[Konvas] Music Videos and format height (off-topic)

I was sitting here this morning with my son (Finnigan) finishing up his
feeding process (it's definitely a process!), and turned the TV on.
Spanish Music Videos were on. Since I'm going to Spain next month, I
figured what the heck and put the remote down.
The first music video looked horrible - definitely SD video. And it
looked like it had been shot with all settings on automatic. While the
music was okay - watching the horrible production quality of the video
detracted from me enjoying it.
But the next video caught my attention. It looked like it was shot on
16mm. It was by Kinito Méndez, called "Hony Tú Sí Jony" (or something
like that - it flashed up pretty quickly).
The music was okay, but what really caught my attention was how it kept
switching back and forth between 1.78:1 (possibly 1.66:1 or even 1.85:1)
and 2.40:1. It was broadcast on a digital SD channel, so it's hard to
get an accurate idea of what exactly is what in terms of formats, but
still - it kept switching back and forth between what looked like
anamorphic widescreen and standard widescreen.
Hmmm... When I started writing this, I had a direction I was heading in
- but dealing with the baby, I've forgotten what that direction was...
So, now that I don't know where I'm going with this one - I'll just
throw it out here for discussion (if anyone wants to even discuss it)...
Cheers,
