Have to differ with you there, Rita.

I feel that having talent and a drive to succeed are the only important 
elements to one's success. Especially since no matter how rich someone's 
parents are, their wealth can not buy that person talent or ambition.

I agree that some of the not-as-rich may not always seem to get as many 
breaks (especially when it comes to buying certain equipment). But, 
there has been many a driven, talented person to make it big. Even if 
his/her parents were poor. For instance, take a look at Elvis Presley; 
one of the most recognized singers in the English speaking world. In 
film, there's Robert Rodriguez who entered the game with only talent and 
drive, but again, no rich parents...

While I admit there are some rich kids who have made it big, I've seen a 
lot more rich kids that have never made anything out of themselves, 
mostly because they felt they could not outdo their parents...
