Not Russian, but still Soviet, is the East German Pentacon Six (Medium
Format). Not the greatest camera ever made, but the lens system is
pretty nice and the P6's greatest asset. Most of all though, the P6 and
it's lenses are inexpensive when compared to most of the Hasselblad and
other MF camera systems.

Only pick one up that's been professionally rebuilt, because there's a
lot of crap ones out there. The older shutters usually stick or tear and
make the camera worthless, unless you're into rebuilding cameras (I've
found a few links on rebuilding these cameras, if you are interested).

BTW: The Kiev 6C uses the same lens mount system, as does the Kiev-60
and Kiev-88CM.

Speaking of which, you can also look at the Kiev 88, which is a Russian
copy of an older Hasselblad. It has a different lens mount system
(unless it is an 88CM, which uses the P6 mounting system). Again though
- you want one that's been professionally rebuilt.

Take a look at http://www.araxfoto.com/ - should be a good start on
finding rebuilt, Soviet, MF cameras...
