I'm actually an airline pilot based at JFK and have mixed feelings about this; mostly I hate the TSA with a passion so good for you on getting through at all. I've had problems AS AN AIRLINE PILOT IM UNIFORM going through security in MIA so... You were lucky!

so i place the changing bag in the table , put the cans inside , Open them ... and say to the guy , OK, Men , put your hand inside and Check them !!!

The security guy look me with a scarry face of terror , like i had snake inside the bag , and he say me Noooo ! No way ! i will not put my hand inside this BAg ! Go, Go ! ...

It's not that hard, Brandon... people have been loading mags sightless for about a century now.

Get some old stock... and practice practice practice, watching what you do. Then with your eyes closed. Then in a darkroom or tent where you CAN'T cheat. Do it a while and it will become second nature. DON'T get in a hurry, and DON'T get frustrated.

Personally, to me the hardest part of loading is if I have to cut film... and be able to cut it straight across and not hit sprocket holes on either side (which makes loading harder). But I can do it pretty reliably.

Keep track of where everything is. We operate so casually when we can see that it's easy to forget that. If you are in a darkroom, for example, I ALWAYS keep the scissors right HERE, I start with a mag right THERE facing the same way, the tape is right over THERE, when I open a lid it goes in a certain SPOT, I place the bag right HERE....

Nothing is worse that looking for something ("I know those scissors are in here SOMEWHERE! AARRGG!") when you are beyond the point of being able to turn the lights on.

Just keep your cool, and relax when loading.

My worst load job ever was on a shoot on a tennis court in 100 deg weather... the client was being a pain, talent was waiting, the mag was being finnicky, and sweat was pouring down my arms in the tent. I finally had to force myself to relax, take a break, take a breath.... now load.

You can do it....
