Adam, I noticed that I tend to rest my head on the side of the mag while looking through the viewfinder. When I do, it makes a funny noise and I lose sync. That is the sideload I speak of; made a simple placard on the computer and printed off some stickers to put on the mags warning the camera operator of this.

Warm regards,
Brandon

PS Im getting good at threading the mags... Rita had a great idea in trimming the end into a point to help feed it through, among other areas, the pressure plate.

The hardest spot to thread is just after the 2nd sprocket there is that roller assembly--the dang film tends to get hung up there MILLIMETRES from 'mecca' as it were. Sucks.

Ok, cool heads prevail. It was a cable that went bad!!! Wow. Who
woulda thunk it?

It's usually a bad connection in the cable.

Still, don't side load your 1m mags unless you dont care about sync.

What do you mean by "side load"? There's only one way to load a magazine...
