[Konvas] Crystal motor--found prob

I will make a video to demonstrate. It really caught me by surprise. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that parts are hand fit and these mags are not original to the camera body? It happens with some but not as bad with others. The one that was the worst was as you said, loaded improperly. I was distracted by the motors suddenly not running (because of the cable); afterwards I noticed the latch was closed but not engaged properly causing the lid to stick up a bit more than it would and an ecxessively tight fit. After many more tests, I have 1 mag that still causes a drag on the motor and thus loss of sync.
By sideload, imagine your head pushing against the mag as you look through the viewfinder...
I'll post a video...

Brandon,
I don't quite understand why you're calling it "sideload", but I've never had any similar issues. Something just sounds wrong.
It sounds like the mag might not be properly seated or something. The mag, when seated, should have no issue whatsoever. It should be snug on both sides and the sidelatch should be pushed back in all the way, thus holding the mag tightly in place.
Could it be that the mag was misloaded or the door not properly shut? Hmmm. Can you post a small video up on the web of one of these mags, and show us your pushing your head against it?
Cheers,
