Hi Rita,
The Paterson tanks are quite easy to use once you've practiced loading the reels a few times. They are easier to load than a Konvas mag :) But you'l have to sacrifice a roll for loading practice.
His loading technique is different than mine, but seems adequate. He does seem at risk for touching the emulsion with his pinky finger, at the very least. I remove the paper as I go, he takes it off first. Anyway, it's the only one I could find.:

The film must be loaded into the tank in the dark. A changing bag/tent will do the trick nicely. Once the top is on (the funnel) they are safe in daylight.
Here's a nice developing video:

The Paterson comes with a twizzle stick that can be used for agitation. The fellow in the video inverts the tank instead. I do the same.
Hope this helps.

There seems to be more Paterson tanks than Jobo.
How important is it to keep the 120 film from touching itself when
processing as the 120 plastic reels do not have separators so the film surfaces
may touch when wet or does this not matter.
Is stainless steel better than Bakelite or plastic/nylon types as Lomo
tanks seem to be made of Bakelite.
I assume you load a daylight tank in a bag or darkroom. Some say that you
don't need any darkroom as it can be done in daylight, so how do you load a tank
without light getting to the film.
This is all very strange and as usual I am 150 years behind the times but
would a 10MP camera do the same job as a medium to large format camera?
The purists say, definitely NO!
What are you thoughts?
Rita
