Both 2.4 and 2.35 use the same 2x? compression, the 2.4 simply allows a touch more room for the splices, so the odds are that your distortion is the preferences set for the DVD/TV interface.? That has proven to be a huge problem for people, with the "actual displayed pixel count" and ratio not really matching up to the delivered image.? You may need to set the DVD player to ratio or to pixel override, otherwise it may distort things.? The best way to check it is to find a shot with a large car tire image in it-- then try different setting until the car tire is perfectly round.

I had one girl who did that and told me the people still looked too stretched tall-- they are actually that thin.? When you meet Kidman in person the ususal response is to try and feed her something before she faints.

ON DVD and BluRay in widescreen the people look stretch? it's remember some old European film..Where the scoop do not bring the people at the regular side.

Any one notice this on the Australia ? I have not get the chance to see it at the theater maybe the same there also.Rent the DVD and take a look.

Or they using 2:40 and not 2;35
