[Konvas] Off topic , grounding acrylic .....

Hi guys , i need grounding acrylic to make Groundglass .... 
I will use optical acrylic from Filter 4x4 .... 
I have tryed the same method i use with glass (Aluminium oxide) .... but don t work so good ....
i obtain a very good but too "thin" grounding .... 

so i have tryed with #1500 sand paper ..... same result .... very fine but too thin ....

ANY OTHER IDEA ???? i never find the "adhesive" ground glass very precise ..... Any idea ????
