Olivier,
I remember a few things from a long time ago about cutting glass. I'm
writing them below, but please don't take what I say as 100% accurate.
You'll want to make sure what I'm saying is right before trying it.

You can buy a small $5 glass cutter at a hardware store. Also buy a
grease pencil (and eye protection!). Buy a piece of glass that is as
close to the size of the final piece of glass as you need.

First, put your eye protection on (since you may need your eyes after
this operation). Now, use a straight edge and mark the glass with the
grease pencil. Keep the straight edge in place. Now score the glass ONLY
ONCE with the glass cutter, but do not push it up against the straight
edge too hard (you don't want the cutter partially going underneath the
straight edge). DO NOT go back over (rescore) it a second time!

When you have finished the score, put the glass on the edge of a table
with something soft (like a cloth or rubber) underneath of it. Pick the
glass up in the air about an inch and drop it so that the entire edge
hits the table at the same time (ie., it hits it flat). This should
break the glass nice and clean across the entire length. If it doesn't
break, try it again from just a little higher.

Now do the same with the second edge...

Again - you'll want to look it up and make sure I'm not giving you wrong
info.
