You seem to have inside info or are you just speculating?
I wonder how much the lenses would be and if they would really develop a full set of primes with an useful focal length range of if we are looking at a zoom here.
The market for 35mm cine lens for an EF mount would be pretty limited, specially given the EF mount short focal flange distance which would make it difficult to adapt the lenses to be used with any of the existing cine mounts. So this would be a set for the Canon camera only. This combined with the fact that if they are really going for cine lenses the mechanics are much more complex than still lenses makes me think it would either very expensive or of lower quality than the Lomos. It seems like a pretty risk move for Canon if they are thinking of offering that for a prosumer camera.

 That's why Canon is looking at the cine type lenses for a new DV body-- the XL lenses are lower contrast and higher resolution, a touch different coating that actually absorbs more light, but smooths out the color rendition, but they are looking at an EOS mount so the lenses can also be sold to still shooters who like that look instead of the normal "lots of pop" still camera look.  

An 8x10 or a 16x20 still image needs the pop for close viewing, a moving image on a big screen where you are well away from the screen needs less pop, smoother color handling.

As a manufacturer they need a maximum marketing base, so they are looking at a kind of strange mount/type mix.

Interesting topic. I've been shooting with a 7D and my Lomo primes for 3 weeks 
now. The results are great. I really like the way the Lomos render the 7D 
images. I think it looks a lot less digital than with normal Canon glass.

Yeah, the Canon FD lenses will not focus to infinity on EOS bodies, which sucks 
because you can get some great FD lenses on Ebay for quite cheap, most likely 
for the exact reason they can no longer be used with modern cameras.

About getting OCT18 lenses on an EOS body it sounds interesting. Maybe it would 
be an easier task than the OCT19 ones? What is the flange distance for OCT18?

I wished I could get a few of my OCT18 mounted LOMO primes on the front, but at 
least, much like Olivier's Nikon lens collection, I have other options with my 
Soviet-made M42 and Pentacon Six mounted lenses.

I have some older Canon FD lenses as well, but I've read that they won't be able 
to focus to infinity on EOS cameras. Can anyone confirm or deny that?
