Yep, I was just about to mention that when I read Bruce's post.   That's 
pretty much a trademark of mirror lenses.  You know in a feature  film how you 
can spot the anamorphic lenses by the oval-shaped highlights  (rather than 
round)?  Same for mirror lenses.... the dead giveaway is when  out-of-focus 
highlights look like donuts rather than solid circles.
