Yeah, the mirror stays up when in video mode but the camera drops the mirror when it powers off, so you need to be careful. If the lens sticks too far in, even if the mirror is up, unless you are changing lens with the camera turned on, which I would not recommend because the sensor becomes a dust and felt magnetic, the mirror would still hit the lens when you turn the camera off to change lenses.

I'll see if I get a chance to play around with it a little today or tomorrow to see what works. I think the biggest issue right now is getting around the OCT18 "hook" (peg?) that holds the lens in place (not allowing it to turn side to side) while adjusting focus.
Longer lenses shouldn't have as much of an issue. The shorter ones might, but if the mirror is up, then they can seat back in a little ways farther without worry. The big thing about the mirror is that it is for the SLR part of the equation *only*. The camera switches over to the back screen when in video mode, the mirror goes up and stays up, thus the SLR can not be used.
