Todd,
Get your hands on a 7D first and add one of those redrockmicro dslr 
packages to it, as well as your set of cine lenses (yours are PL mount, 
right?). I don't think you'd worry as much about paying for another 
XLH1... ;-)

There's even rumor that Canon is working on some sort of a RAW recording 
module for their cameras. I'd love to see that to happen.
