Rita,
There's a few great things about shooting a Canon HDSLR. For instance,
you can set the camera up in just about any way you like. All the
different stills modes apply to the movie modes - so you can set it up
with high/low saturation, high/low contrast, etc. People are doing all
sorts of cool picture styles that you can download and setup your camera
to shoot, including Velvia, Reala, Fuji Pro 160C, 160S, 400H, Portra
160NC, Ektachrome, and Kodachrome 25. There are many more, but I got
tired of typing. Honestly, I haven't used them yet - but I've got a lot
of them downloaded at this point and am getting excited to try them out.

And picture styles is only the tip of the iceberg - there's a lot of
other cool things to do as well (can't wait to use a set of LOMOs on the
front). That said, there's no way to look at a single picture, or even a 
series of videos, and get all of the ideas about what this camera can do...
