[Konvas] New Canon? - Ergonomics anyone

Hi Lael,

I see your point now. Yes, some of the ergonomics is definitely built in. My point was more that I don't really see a problem with the ergonomics of the DSLR and really don't feel the need for a video body and the reason is that I see the DSLRs being as movie cameras and those need the adds-ons in order to work instead of being self contained like video cameras because they are modular. But I guess we are kind of on the same page about the ergonomics not being a deal breaker with the DSLRs.
By the way, no need to appologize at all. All discussion is valid and it wasn't a hijack at all. Quite on topic actually.

First, let me say that I don't think ergonomics is a deal breaker on the
Canons.  Plenty of accessories to get this thing working handheld.  The
images that can be achieved speak for themselves.  So again, I am
appreciating this discussion.

I did say "nothing serious...just humorous".  My response was a
tounge-in-cheek joke.  I knew what you meant by box.  I just thought it
was a little humorous to call the BL4 or especially the 235 a box (Arri
would find it offensive I'm sure.).  Ergonomics are designed into those
bodies.  Placement of where the viewfinder goes, handgrip, etc. are part
of the design.  Once more though, considering the price comparison of
the Canon, I'm willing to toss ergonomics and buy what I need to make it
work.

You are very knowledgable about the Canon.  Please continue on with that
subject line.  Sorry I hijacked the thread.

Best,
Lael
