[Konvas] New Canon? - Ergonomics anyone

Well, I think while we are still discussing Russian glass it is still on topic. I'm new, but I never got the impression the list was Konvas and Kinor only but rather anything related to Russian cinema gear. At least this is the feeling I have. The other thing is that inevitably, whether we want or not and without wanting to start a film vs digital discussion, film is dying.. The Konvas and Kinor cameras, as well as any older 35mm movie camera will soon be junk or antiques. But the glass will transcend and go on into the new era. While Lomo lenses have gone up in price, Konvas and Kinor bodies have surely gone down. It's just evolution and there's very little we can do about it. I love film and think it's still way superior to digital no matter in what form. But for how long yet? Film is dying fast and it is happening first in the low end of things for obvious reasons. We are all just adapting to the process. But Lomos, no matter what, just don't feel off
topic in my opinion.

Is it just me or do we seem to have a lot of discussions on RED, Canon and everything else BUT Kinor, Konvas and other Soviet cameras? There was that whole big discussion about fitting the precious and increasingly scarce Lomos to a D7, the endless RED, the bane film production and reason diesent, more modern Lomos have tripled in price and become almosty rare, discussions.. Every time I see a Lomo from the late 80s or early 90s, which is now rare, they are enevitable in PL mount. I don't know, maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I figure a site named Konvas.Org should primarily talk about Konvas cameras or at the very least Russian equipment. There are sites, unfortunately growing in number while commiecam sites dwindle, for RED and other digital media. After the devastating loss od Commiecam.com and That other site, I can't think of the name right now, that had all that good informastion on commiecam repair and mods, I'd like to see this site remain more
pure. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but these resources were invaluable to me and now that Olex's site is down, we're about it. I actually don't know of another commiecam site.
