[Konvas] 35mm round front anamorphic to Konvas 2M

Getting ready to do an mos shoot with the Konvas. Somewhere down the line I was told that the 35mm anamorphic round front lomo would not work with the 2M. I've mounted the lens to camera and the mirror turns freely and I'm getting focus as well. Was this just an old wive's tale, or am I missing something? Wondering if anyone else has had some experinece with this.
